Answer:	The answer depends on the shade but I would not use anything over 60 watts for safety sake.

Answer:	Small mouth is the general size of Mason mouth but the lager half gallon which are best for lamps is a wide mouth so this since wouldn't work unless you wanted to use a 32oz Mason instead. You can also use the lid the Mason comes with and drill a whole and just swap out the attachment that comes with the small mouth lamp kit :)

Answer:	I really don't know the power of the lens, however I did a VERY unscientific test. I placed a ruler under the lens and then measured the image. 1 inch measured 1.5 inches. (If you perform this test yourself, remember to keep both eyes open... opening just 1 eye will yield a different result.) I use this lighted magnifier for building models, reading tiny serial numbers, etc. Perfect for my needs.
