Answer:	No. What you do is, as you close the umbrella, it goes up and the water is collected inside the "bowl" then you just dump out the water. Just shake out the umbrella and it stands with the open end downward. That way water droplets that are left on the umbrella will drip down onto the ground or floor. It's very cool. I have two. Answer:	I really don't know if parasols are more wind-resistant than umbrellas. Anyway, we gave this as a gift to a friend moving to another country. It is definitely beautiful.

Answer:	The liner is black. Take a look at the side panel of photos that show different views of the umbrella. Click on the one that shows the underside. It is black. I purchased the gold umbrella as a gift for a friend. It is gorgeous and definitely gold on top, but the liner is black. I have read that black actually deflects harmful sun rays better than white. I am not a scientist, so I don't know that for sure. But that is the purpose of a parasol. It is supposed to protect you from the sun. Hope this helps.
Question:	What is 2-fold and what is 3-fold
Answer:	2-fold just collapses into one long closed umbrella. A 3-fold has a hinged rib and folds in half after you collapse the umbrella and the handle slides up into itself (telescopes) to make a very compact umbrella when it is folded. I am probably not explaining it very well. Hope this helps a little.

Answer:	The auto-open button fell off my deluxe BetterBrella after using it three times. I am still working on a fix for this because I like the umbrella. I have tried several things but none have worked or stayed in place. I think BetterBrella should respond regarding this problem. It seems that quite a few customers have experienced this. Losing that button makes the umbrella very difficult to use because the lever under the button is sharp and requires applying pressure to open the umbrella.
