Answer:	I see the original post is quite old, but for further questions... I just returned from a International trip where I used 2 of these bags fully loaded with 20 kgs. / 44 lbs. My limit was 50 lbs and neither my domestic carrier nor my international carrier batted an eye at the size. I flew Japan Airline and Co-shared my domestic flight with American Airlines. The ticket counter even joked I had could have carried 6 additional pounds in each bag. On my international flights they weighed the bags all at once. However, if you are on a strict airline that charges for everything, these are over the published sizes and could charge over size fees, but if they are under weight, they may look the other way.

Most airlines restrict carry-on to very small items -not even close to the size of this monster bag. For checked luggage, most use a Length plus Width plus Depth limit of 62" and a weight of 50 pounds. Many airlines won't allow cardboard boxes -so you can put such a box inside the duffle and you are good. that is why I am looking and buying this bag. I will tape down the extra length so that it does not exceed the 62" combined dimensions and put my otherwise disallowed box inside

Answer:	I crawled into this bag once and someone picked me up and carried me around the living room. I was about 150 lbs at the time. This bag holds 150 pounds. haha.

Answer:	No. Mine was well over 62" when fully packed. I used it to carry washable feminine hygiene kits (fairly dense fabric) to Uganda, and I needed to get 49 lbs in each duffel bag. I had to use a smaller duffel inside this one as a compression bag to compact 90% of the kits in, then put the remaining 10% of the kits around the compression bag in order to get close to 50 lbs without exceeding 62". The other answer used space bags. So you would need some sort of compression to get close to 50lbs of fabric w/o exceeding 62".

Answer:	It's about 12 lbs, so it's fairly heavy. Heavier than I thought it would be. Shipping weight was 12.7 lbs, so subtract a few ounces for the box. Something to consider when airlines limit luggage weight to 50 lbs.

Of course there's a limit to large sized bags but agents check 36 inch bags all the time as long as they do not exceed 50 lbs...this 37 inch bag at 50lbs or less should be no problem but likely will not be full at 50lbs so actual size is less...I'm in the industry and know a lot of airline reps...they are focused on weight far more than size...

Answer:	It is somewhat difficult to describe, so I will do my best. The material is not silky, it has a matte finish. It is a very thin material, but yet seems to be very sturdy. I bought this for my college student to use for travel and she has been very pleased with it.

Answer:	It is roomy however I have only tried a ski helmet, that works.
