Answer:	Once the combination has been changed , the "factory combo" no longer works. I set one up with a combo that I could not remember and could not get it to open even using the original numbers.Even the manufacturer did not or would not supply a "master code". Locks are very nice and work well.

Answer:	The key hole fits a universal TSA key that is used at airports only. It is pretty unnoticeable and really only used when traveling.

Answer:	No these won't hold up outdoors. The cord would but the lock itself would definitely break. I agree with the stainless steel mentioned before. Steel wire is great security, just check one out that has a stronger long lasting lock box on it. So it will hold up in temp changes and precipitation.

Answer:	I bought the 8-pack, but it actually was NOT one pack with 8 locks, but rather it was two 4-packs. This matters because the keys in a pack open the locks in a pack. Since we have two packs we now have to find a way to distinguish which keys go to which locks since they all look alike.

1. Set the lock’s combination to 000.  Pull up on the shackle.

2. Rotate the shackle 90 degrees counterclockwise. 

3. Push the shackle down.  You should feel the shackle slide down and hit a spring. 

4. While pressing down, rotate the shackle another 90 degrees counterclockwise.

5. Scroll the dial numbers to set your own combination.

6. Rotate the shackle back in the reverse direction until the shackle pops up.

7. Your combination has now been set.  You may now close the lock.
