However ,,,the little key sticks sometimes in lock., Also I took a trip and TSA had unlocked my suitcase (note was inside) and locked it back up with there key. 1. Set the lock’s combination to 000.  Pull up on the shackle.

2. Rotate the shackle 90 degrees counterclockwise. 

3. Push the shackle down.  You should feel the shackle slide down and hit a spring. 

4. While pressing down, rotate the shackle another 90 degrees counterclockwise.

5. Scroll the dial numbers to set your own combination.

6. Rotate the shackle back in the reverse direction until the shackle pops up.

7. Your combination has now been set.  You may now close the lock.

The preset combination is 0-0-0 and can be changed to your personal combination by following these steps: 

1. Set the combination to 0-0-0.
2. Make sure the cable is firmly locked into the lock body.
3. Press down the combination setting button with a flat head screwdriver or other similar tool and rotate it 90° in the direction of the arrow.
4. Align the numbers to your desired combination by turning the dials.
5. Rotate the combination setting button back to its original position. Your new combination has now been set.

You may change your combination and reset your lock by following the above steps as often as you like. Simply enter your personal combination into the lock for step 1 instead of 0-0-0.
