I don't know if it is listed as waterproof or water resistant, but I've been using it for walking (and since I am legally blind, I walk everywhere!), and we have been caught in a few downpours. When I got home, everything inside the bag felt dry. So I think you can assume that it is! Also, I'm not easy on my bags when I'm walking around with my service dogs because I brush up on walls all the time due to my vision problems. To be honest, this bag still looks like new, and that also makes me think its got some sort of waterproofing or it is just made from high-quality materials. My other duffel bags have frayed after just a few months, but the zipper is still strong and there's no unraveling of the material anywhere. Will buy again!
