My Laptop overall dims are:16-3/8" x 10-13/16" x 1-5/8". It also has the latest charger (250W) and I use a mouse. I can fit all my cables, thumb drives, adapters and, in ocassions, I also take my Mac Power Book 15" as well.This is the bargain with the largest, confortable, good looking (all leather, kind of worn, fine and well aged distinguished look) bag I found. I don't like wheeled bags (I rather prefer my shoulder-carry, although it is pretty heavy, when I am going full equipped!), so I am pretty happy with this one.Now, my only concern is, the.lack of cushy protection (I would'very loved a thick, hard 1" foam at the bottom. As it is, I had to adapt some, but it moves and doesn't stay in place, specially when I have.to.make several stops with my bag. And I would've reinforced the strap connection to the bag, with an additional leather strip in the inside. I am afraid that it will eventually rip at the stitches! I hope the warranty would cover that. I feel it coming!I hope this helps! |

| Answer: | The slot you are referring to next to side pocket is not for bottle of water but for cell phone. One of the side pockets has two zippers, so the idea is to keep bottle in it while zipped as much as you can to hold it in place, but unfortunately it doesn't work good with any average to larger size bottles. The lack of easily accessible water pocket is the reason I am not giving this backpack 5 stars |
