Answer: It would probably fit in the main compartment, but it would be awkward and it might get wet. This bag isn't water proof at all. When I put my hair brush in it, the bristle poke all the way through. The fuzz is backed with a spongy material that is very loosely woven. I wouldn't put a laptop in it. Their bags made of other materials might be better for that: the canvas and the ripstop are very tightly woven.

Answer: We have this bag in gray. If it needed washing, I'd do it on delicate cycle with cold water, and air dry, no heat, similar to washing a stuffed animal. The dryer would not be a good idea, just air dry and shake it to fluff it out. I don't know what the official company answer would be, but that's how I'd do it.
