Answer:	I would say big kids. Don't buy these if you plan on your kid having them for a while. I love the 'Roper' brand and I especially loved these flag boots. My little boy loved his, but they weren't well made. They didn't last him very long after he had been outside and got them wet at recess. Other boots have lasted us longer, but we also paid a little more for them. Just our personal opinion. Love the style but not well made.

Answer:	Oh no. I would not wear these in mud and dirt or water. These are for more formal wear like school or going out to dinner.

Answer:	I feel that a 13 will be too large unless the child has a very wide foot. A 12.5 should offer a good amount of growing room. We are happy to exchange them if you feel after trying them on that the child needs a different size.

Answer:	When I ordered the boots you listed in your question, the boots I received were rough, stiff brown leather. They were not smooth, soft, pliable leather as the same boot in black. I was disappointed because I have the black boots and have worn them a lot! I kept the boots, however I did have to remove the inner liner as the boots do run smaller in width and the leather has not stretched to fit my foot as the black ones did. Hope this helps!
