Answer:	So, anything that is delicate enough for the area directly under the eye should be, in theory delicate enough to use on the entire lid as long as you keep you eyes shut, so it won't migrate into your eye accidentally and the pad is not over the entire eye Starting at the lower edge of the upper lid, directly above the lashes...being sure not to let it touch or cover your eyelashes.. I'd expect you will need to trim it. That being said.... I would always follow their instructions, but honestly that should be completely fine. They are trying to keep the idiots safe. The upper lid is going to be a little more delicate, so just be sure to use them for a 1/3 of the time it instructs you for several days and add a minute here after a few days :)
