Answer:	I am not really sure of the type of fabric. It feels like a soft polyester nylon type fabric. Similar to parachute fabric. It is smooth and soft. It holds up pretty well. My son has worn it several times and it is still in great condition.

Question:	My son is 58 inches tall and 137 lbs. would this fit him
Answer:	My son was 66 inches tall and a 130lbs when I purchased this for him. He wore a men's small in athletic wear. The legs and arms were a few inches long on him and the body was a little baggy. I hemmed the leg's length and he was ok with the arms because he wore oversized garden gloves with the outfit to give it a "Martian/astronaut" look. I hope this helps.
