Answer:	Just fired this up for the first time. I wasn't expecting it to purr like a kitten but wow, much louder than I expected given the dcb ratings Westinghouse states. Using an App on my phone I measured 90-91 dcb standing next to it. low to mid 80's from about 20 ft. and down into the lower 70's from about 35-40 ft away and slightly around a corner of my house. Please be aware when the mfg states decibels, it is usually stated from a distance of 23 ft. Now also keep in mind you will probably be inside while its running so that will dampen the noise a good bit. But my wife was inside when I fired it up and the first words she said were, "that's loud". But that's the nature of these beasts regardless of what kind you go with unless it's a Honda or specially designed quiet series.

When I ordered the XXL, I figured it would at least fit easier. It actually was smaller. I still cannot understand it, to this day. It was labeled "XXL" so unless there was a mistake in packaging/tagging in my particular case, I wouldn't recommend buying from this company. (They ruined my Halloween costume this year. =/)
