It fit her well, and it stayed in place during the performances. She was never adjusting it while on stage. She was probably wearing the wig about 2.5 - 3 hours at a time. I'm not sure how this would fit a young child. Unfortunately, with the pandemic, I don't have access to my costume room to have a younger child try it on. I know with my own children when they were little, I bought them child size wigs and now that they are pre-teens they wear adult wigs. If you decide to try, the wig caps are very helpful and you will probably want to have bobby pins on hand to help secure it to her head.
