I know that makes it hard in cold places where the temp dips below zero and four blankets plus a carseat cover still is not going to keep a newborn safely warm. It is down filled and has a fleece lining and fold over hand covers. The description doesn't list an approved temperature. But, it is not a suit that I would use alone in sub zero temps or high wind chill factors.

Answer:	No this cannot be worn in a carseat. No snowsuit or even thick winter jacket can be worn in a carseat. Just a warm fleece sweater and then a blanket over baby. These suites and jackets are to puff so even though you think the carseat straps are tight they arnt. If you place them in the car seat with the suit on and then leave the straps how they are and take the child out and then put them back in without the snow suit on you'll see how much extra room there is with the straps. Unfortunately in an accident the child will come flying right out of the car seat because they will basically not be really wearing a seatbelt
