Answer:	They can assign you a number. Make sure, however, that it didn't belong to someone else. When my husband used his Jitterbug to call someone, caller ID showed as some woman with a really odd name. We could never get that issue resolved, so he was assigned a new number. That number showed up as 'wireless caller', which wasn't satisfactory, either. We tried three times to get his old Verizon number transported to GreatCall, but that never worked because Verizon sends a transport code that is only good for 10 minutes. GreatCall didn't put in the transport request for 24 hours. That's when he was assigned the number for Tryxy Bishop, for crying out loud. I set Alexa up for him, but he hated having to ask Alexa to ask Lively to call someone. Also, having to push the OK button multiple times for every single function was exasperating. I finally sent the phone back to Amazon and had his old phone reactivated with Verizon. GreatCall sets up an account and sends monthly bills, if you decide to keep the Lively Flip phone.

Answer:	This is the biggest SCAM I ever saw!! Bought this phone (Cricket Alcatel Quickflip) new in box from a 3rd party seller, 'HTF Toys' & the order was fulfilled by 'Amazon'. The item description in the 'Amazon' listing for said phone (Cricket Alcatel Quickflip) mentioned 3 different times that the phone was unlocked & compatible with 'T-Mobile'. After I received the phone, set it up & turned it on, the phone's screen then immediately prompted me for a 10 digit unlock code that was not provided anywhere on the packaging the phone came in or in the manuals that came with it. I called 'Cricket Wireless' & also went to a nearby 'Cricket' store to attain the 10 digit code to unlock the phone & each customer service representative I dealt with told me I needed to have a 'Cricket' customer account (i.e. service with 'Cricket') for at least 6 months before they could give me the 10 digit unlock code!! No where in the item description for this phone's listing on 'Amazon' does it mention this information. No where does it say that the phone requires a 10 digit unlock code that you can only acquire by signing up for 6 months of 'Cricket Wireless' service! If it had, I would have never bought it! TOTAL RIPOFF & FRAUD!! Amazon is now investigating the credibility of this listing. I also contacted the Better Business Bureau. Do NOT buy if you want to switch over to T-Mobile!!
