I'm not sure why this phone says it's locked to verizon, when verizon doesn't lock their phones. I did have to have straight talk configure my phone when I first switch to them, they talked me through it over the phone. However I didnt have to do anything when I switched to tmobile other than changing the sim. |

| Answer: | The answer as of June 2015 is probably NO. Someone answered on February 20, 2015 : "Assuming that you can make calls and send and receive ordinary, short, text-only messages (SMS), you have discovered some false advertising about this product: the box says "Mobile Web Access" and the basic LG 306 phone supports this, but TracFone sells a customized LG 306 with all data services -- Web, MMS, etc. -- disabled. You can browse to your heart's content over WiFi, but the TracFone LG 306 does not support Web access over the cellular data network. The error message when you open the built-in browser is "Connection failed!" The Opera 7 Java browser app., which is partly pre-installed, cannot be set up unless you have WiFi access, and once set up, will give a similar error if you try to use the cellular data network. You will find numerous recent reports online. I have returned two phones with the same configuration error. Regarding customer service, it's outsourced to the Philippines, and though the reps are polite and speak basic English, all that they can tell you to do is to turn your phone off and on, which will not solve the problem. To confirm that your phone is misconfigured, go to the Prepaid menu, select Code Entry Mode, enter *#115 and tap OK, and you will see "Parameter 115 / Port 0 / 0.0.0.0", which indicates no data access. Sorry! Return it immediately if your seller allows!" |

| Answer: | Yes, I called safelink and spoke to someone who helped me with it, only took about 10 or 15 minutes. Don't activate your phone until you call them, although she told me it could take hours to transfer the service to the new phone, mine was done right away. |

| Answer: | Very simply,1.go to settings icon & press the one that looks exactly like a round gear,2.after pressing you'll see a list in this order:Display,Phone,Call,Touch,Accessibility.3.press Accessibility.4.You'll see list starting with Menu Read,don't even bother with the rest of the list,move the circle in the box to the left.You have just turned off your voice prompts,enjoy your back up tracfone,it even can play movies,if you use an mp4 converter and set display for 320px240p.It may be an older model but this little guy can kick butt.Don't foget optional memory expansion of 32GB! Stay well |
