Answer:	The TPU rubber covers the volume and power buttons. But it is still easy to use the buttons without any problems. You could use a razor to cut out the TPU rubber around the buttons. I did this with a Tab S3 TPU rubber case and now I can directly touch the buttons. I like the feel of touching the buttons direct, but it doesn't matter too much either way as far as functionality is concerned.
