FWIW, I also am using this adapter with an 18mm band (which I only did because it's an old band I really wanted to use with the AW!) and its fit is still acceptable. |

If you fit a 22mm band on the adapter, once it snaps into place, you will never be able to remove the band from the adapter, because you need a bit of space to slide the adapter apart to remove it. This happened to me. :( |
