Is there any warranty for this item

Well I found out the hard way about the warranty. I bought the shatter proof screen protector for my new iPhone 5. When I read the warranty that came with it in detail, I noticed that it doesn't cover "accidental" damage to the phone. I corresponded with Amzer customer support and eventually found out that if you drop your iPhone and it cracks, shatters or whatever, the Amzer warranty replaces the "shatter proof screen protector", not the iPhone screen. So basically, yes there is a warranty, but it only replaces the plastic screen protector. It doesn't do anything for your iPhone or whatever device you buy this for. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't bother buying a "shatter proof screen protector" that clearly doesn't guarantee it is shatter proof!!
