Answer:	You have to transfer your home button from your old screen. So if your home button works now, and you are gentle it should still work.

Step 1

• Remove the two Pentalobe screws on the bottom edge of the iPhone.

Step 2

• Use a Heat Gun or Hair Dryer, to apply mild heat to the lower edge of the iPhone, for approx. one minute.

Step 3

• Apply a suction cup to the lower left corner of the display assembly.
• Pull up on the suction cup with firm, constant pressure, to create a slight gap between the front panel and rear case.
• Place the flat edge of a spudger into the gap between the screen and rear case, directly above the headphone jack, and twist the spudger to widen the gap.
• Slide the spudger up the side of the phone to separate the adhesive and free the clips.

Step 4

• Use the suction cup to open the display, breaking the last of the adhesive.
• CAUTION: Do not open the display further than 90º, as it is still connected at the top by three cables that may break if stretched too far.

Step 5

• Remove two Phillips screws securing the Battery Connector Bracket.
• Remove the bracket.

Step 6

• Use the point of a spudger to disconnect the Battery Connector by prying it straight up from the logic board.

Step 7

• Remove the our Phillips screws securing the Display Cable Bracket.
• Remove the bracket.

Step 8

• Disconnect the Front Camera Flex Cable.
• Disconnect the Digitizer Flex Cable.
• Disconnect the Display Cable.

Step 9

• Remove the front panel.

Step 10

• Use the point of a spudger to lift and disconnect the antenna cable from the bottom end of the logic board.
• Use the point of a spudger to lift up and disconnect the Lightning connector ribbon cable from its socket on the logic board.

Step 11

• Use the point of a spudger to lift and disconnect the antenna cable from its socket near the top of the logic board.

Step 12

• Carefully lift the antenna cable and de-route it from the edge of the phone. Use the point of a spudger to help lift the cable to free it from the retaining clips.

Step 13

• Remove the Phillips screws securing the Loud Speaker.

Step 14

• Remove the Loud Speaker from the rear case.

Step 15

• Remove the Phillips screws securing the Taptic Engine.
• Remove the Taptic Engine.

Step 16

• Remove the following Phillips screws that secure the Dock Connector.

Step 17

• Remove the Microphone bracket.

Step 18

• Insert a opening pick between the edge of the rear case and the Dock Connector flex cable.
• Press the pick underneath the flex cable to break up the adhesive holding it in place.
• Insert the flat end of a spudger between the Lightning connector assembly and rear case to break up the remaining adhesive.

Step 19

• Use an opening tool to separate the microphone from the bottom edge of the rear case.

Step 20

• Insert the point of a spudger into the microphone jack and push to loosen the jack from the rear case.
• Remove the Dock Connector.
• Congratulations! You have now successfully removed your Dock Connector!
• To reinstall the iPhone, use the previous steps in this manual and apply them backwards.

• Replace the four shield stickers after peeling off the old ones for a thorough cleaning of the logic board.
• The tops of the EMI shields on the logic board are thin stickers, silver on one side and black on the other.
• Compatible with iPhone 6s.
