Answer:	The holes are actually connected underneath the piece of plastic between them. I guess it's for those old school phone charms or even a strap. I was laughing that they actually included something like this on the case!

Answer:	You can take measurements at 50 feet, but at that distance your measurement area (circle) needs to be 5 feet in diameter. At 10 feet it should be a circle of 1 foot in diameter, and at 8 inches it should be at least 0.8 inches in diameter. This relationship is determined by the "distance to spot ratio" of the device, and for the ennoLogic eT650D it is 10:1. So divide your distance by 10 and that gives you the diameter of the measurement area that the IR thermometer "sees". 50 feet is not the limit, you can measure at even larger distances. You just have to keep in mind that the measurement area gets progressively larger as well. If your target is smaller than that area, you're measurement result will be off. Answer:	Both lasers have to be superimposed on each other to get the correct reading. I have to be at least 2-3 feet away to get the lasers to be on top of each other. If both lasers are not on top of each other your reading will probably be way off. When both lasers are on top of each other pull the trigger and the temp should show up. I don't use it for exact measurements. I use it to tell me if I'm getting close, or if I am way high. Metals melt at specific temperatures so it is easy to use this meter to keep you informed as your temperature builds in the forge. Any I don't have to get super close to get a temperature which keeps me from melting the unit or my hand.

Answer:	Hello Lenora.... The BRK heat alarm does two things...measures a rapid rise in temp over a short period of time, or temps over 135 degrees (both would likely indicate fire). An attic may not be the place for a heat alarm in Texas since, depending on your ventilation, might exceed that on a summer's day. I placed mine in all places that smoke or monoxide alarms cannot go (kitchen, garage, laundry room, crawlspace, etc. By the way, I currently have extra units as well.

Answer:	In my house, there are three wires at each alarm -- the usual white and black for house current, plus a red wire that ties all the alarms together. That red wire sets off all the alarms when one alarm goes off. If you have that red wire connected properly, all the alarms will sound; if an alarm is not wired to that red wire circuit, it can not set the other alarms off. There are no communications between the alarms except for the red wire.

Question:	I just got this product, there is an extra 3m adhesive (besides on ring). but no directions. do i use both or just the one on the ring
Answer:	First, you mention both heat alarms and smoke alarms. You mentioned three apartments in your house? The BRK heat alarms may be intermixed with smoke and monoxide alarms. If they are all interconnected, then any one unit will set off all the other alarms. Likely, the problem is being tripped by one unit. If an interconnected unit in the series triggers an alarm, its red LED will flash rapidly. The red LEDs will not flash on any remaining alarms in theseries. This feature helps responders identify which unit(s) triggered the alarm. NOTE: If a heat alarm is tripping, then only two things can set if off - the air attains 135 degrees (unlikely), OR a rise in room temperature of 15 degrees in one minute. This might happen if the heat alarm is near a heat duct. If you have smoke alarms to, smoke, dust or other air debris can set off the unit. If you have a monoxide alarm or a smoke and CO alarm combined, it could be detecting monoxide.
Question:	Is this compatible with wireless Qi charging
Answer:	I just installed with 3 Smoke & CO2 (SC7010BV) and 4 Smoke (9120B6CP) and as soon as it was interconnected all of the Smoke alarms were triggered. It is not compatible with these products. Had to leave the interconnect cable disconnected.
