Answer:	It will save to either .jpg or .pdf your choice. Quality can be 300, 600 or 900 dpi. In order to achieve 900 dpi you have to use the VuPoint table top scanning stand sold separately, $13 -$18.

Answer:	No, just a usb cable.

Answer:	I did all of my scans as jpegs so they were very accurate. If you wanted something that you could edit, I really don't know the answer. One thing to consider... I used the scanner holder that kept it steady while scanning. This made a big difference. Scanning without the holder, everything was out of proportion and not worth doing.
Question:	Does this model support AirPrint? I don't see it listed on Apple's AirPrint website but could be cuz it's new
Answer:	Depends on the color of the streaks. If black, I would say you have a hardware problem and may nee to send it back (if new). If it is white streaks, then you may need to go slower. I bought and use the stand with mine to get a smooth even scan.

Question:	How many do you get for the $19.99 price
Answer:	I am not sure. It would not work with the OS that I was using when I purchased it in March 2013 (I am now using 10.9). I had to pay an additional $150 for the Silverfast upgrade without which the scanner is not worth the money. When I complained to Epson, they replied that the software was up to date when they made the scanner - so it was not their problem. With that software it is, however, a great scanner.
Question:	How many do you get in a package
Answer:	Who knows -- Epson, in my view, is totally unprofessional in this area. Basically, look at an old product description -- then get a new product and settle for bundled software that is two editions lower or two editions earlier than you would expect. This was my review last yearI think this is probably a great scanner, BUT the included third-party software is a series of disasters.The scanner ships with ABBYY FineReader® Sprint Plus 9.0 OCR that is silently installed from the Epson disk as part of the default installation. The version supplied disables all Microsoft Office 2013 applications -- any Office 2013 application will report "xxx has stopped working and will close." At first I did not associate this problem with the Epson installation, so I tried repair of Office 2013, then uninstall/reinstall -- no help. Then I found by Internet search that this was a well-known problem with the ABBYY software, and contacted Epson. Epson denied any prior knowledge of the issue and referred me to ABBYY. ABBYYY has a solution -- "FineReader 9.0 Sprint add-ins are not compatible with your version of MS Office. There is an update available for the software that will fix this issue." The "fix" is NOT the latest release (11.0), but a special version of the old software without the Office add-ins. But it does work. Sixty bucks to upgrade to the latest release with functional add-ins.Having eventually solved that issue, I then addressed the SilverFast software supplied with the scanner. Epson's data sheet says "LaserSoft Imaging® SilverFast® (Version SE 6 with the Perfection V700 Photo and Version Ai 6 with the Perfection V750-M Pro). Knowing the price of SilverFast, this distinction was one of the factors in choosing the 750. The scanner arrived with Version SE 8 -- latest version, but limited functionality. I contacted Epson, and received Version Ai 6 -- full functionality, but two product generations back. And after the ABBYY experience I'm very wary of installing old software. Hundred fifty bucks to get the current Ai 8.Bottom line -- days of wasted time for me, and over two hundred dollars to get the current versions of the promised software.

Answer:	Will cover 11 x 14. BUT, get another Epson model e.g. Epson Perfection V19/V39. Scan bed is the same size. The 3490 I got worked only a few times and died. I returned it. It may have been purchased and returned one time before because the box was not in good condition. Furthermore, Epson said that they discontinued production in 2005, if I recall correctly, so if you get one now, it will be one that has been lying around for a while. The newer Epson Perfection scanners are almost as capable, if not as capable, and are much less expensive.

Answer:	According to information on the Epson website, it should, if your Mac is of recent vintage. If not, the VueScan software that is available from that independent company, i.e. Vuescan, will let virtually any scanner work with your Mac or PC. I use VueScan with an old Epson 4990 with a relatively new IMac with no problems.
