Answer:	I bought this based upon the Reviewer from Dec. 29th 2019's feedback and discovered everything they said is wrong. It does not keep the Fire TV Stick powered when the USB Port on the TV is turned off. When I purchased this unit myself I charged it via a standard USB Charger Block as the instructions said that any USB charging source could be used and after hours of charging decided to move it to the TV and I powered up everything and watched TV for another few hours and decided to test the unit by turning off the TV for a few minutes and noticed that the Blue dots on the device went out immediately and after 3 min. turned the TV back on and the Fire TV 4K Stick did a cold boot! The battery inside this device doesn't keep the Fire TV 4K Stick powered at all when the USB port is turned off. I don't see any reason to own this device as I have a USB 3.0 port on my Samsung TV and it seems to power the Fire TV 4K Stick just fine! I play 4K Ultra Content all of the time and have not seen any issues previously so maybe they are talking about very old TV sets that only had USB 2.0 ports? Otherwise, save your money.

Answer:	I can confirm that this remote works with the nvidia shield as of update 7.2.1. When pairing, you will need the nvidia or other remote to select the remote and tell it to pair. The amazon remote comes up as "AR" on the bluetooth pariing screen. Volume controls also work!!

Answer:	I have the 2nd gen Fire TV stick and bought this generation remote to get the TV power and volume controls. My remote did sow up with instructions on a narrow folded booklet. I followed the "if this remote is in addition to the remote that came originally", and the setup routine provided step-by-step instructions to pair the new remote with both the Fire stick and my Samsung TV. Basics were to use old remote to go to "Settings" and then "controllers & Bluetooth devices", then "Amazon Fire TV Remotes", then "Add New Remote". Next you push the home button on the new remote for 10 seconds until it flashes rapidly to show it's ready to pair. You'll see the new remote listed (the only tricky part was realizing the listing of "Amazon Fire Remote" was the new one, not the old one). Select that and it'll tell you to wait for a minute, after which it asks you if you want to pair with your TV too. In my case it successfully detected my Samsung TV, asked me if this was correct, then confirmed power and volume worked. Whole thing was done in about 3-4 minutes.

After hooking up the cable between my laptop and the TV I remember the HDMI port I've connected the cable. My TV has 3 HDMI ports. Next, I bring up on my laptop what I want to watch. On my TV remote I select Home, then scroll through the menu until I find Input sources. Next, I scroll through the various Input sources until I find the HDMI port where I connected the cable. Once selected whatever I have on my laptop now appears on the TV. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes, I solved my issue by renaming my TV, since somewhere inside my Harmony there is a hidden device called TV. Once I changed my TV name in the devices list in the Alexa app (changed to Living Room TV) all worked fine.
Question:	Why does this require a fire tv if it has an ir blaster? why can't the device control my tv directly over ir for power on/off and volume up/down
Answer:	It requires a Fire TV to give you access to the applications and features on a Fire TV. It doesn't require Fire TV to actually turn on your TV and or surround sound, that's what the IR is for. This is for TVs and other items that are not smart and would not otherwise be compatible in this way or like in my instance I have a TV that's smart but often have problems with it losing connectivity with the app. This is a workaround.

Answer:	Sounds like low voltage caused a current increase which resulted in damage on one of the sdmi outputs, probably the chip or a wire got too hot. I have not personally seen this with a firestick, but I have seen it on other sdmi devices running low voltage.
