Answer:	No it is not that large that is a photo error. This shaver is just a little shorter in height as an old fashion telephone hand piece, or as long as my hand wrist to finger tips. The holes are large for large pills to be cut out of wool sweaters and I love mine. I actually keep it on the shelf to use on my cloths daily. Best purchase in a long time. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The blades are behind an aluminum cover with holes to allow the pills to get drawn in and cut off by the blades. I actually bought this one for furniture recovery from pet damage. I have a smaller, older version of this one (same brand) that I use for clothing. Neither have ever eaten a hole through my clothing.

Answer:	Yes, approximately 5'8" I have not been very pleased with this shaver using the plug in. I did not use batteries and using the cord to power, the shaver cuts in and out fairly regularly.
