Answer:	It probably would work with a 6" platform, however I think the sides would just be scrunched up - which would be inside the tent, inside the bed, so probably not a huge deal. It would make it seem as if there were 6" less headroom inside the tent though. Answer:	Tailgate?- I have a 5' bed and when I drop my tailgate it hangs over a couple inches. It's prob 6'8 ish overall

Answer:	I have a 1988 toyota pickup and it fits just fine. 6ft of bed just mean a little bit more room sleeping. The tent will work out fine. I took it out to death valley over the weekend and was impress with the setup.

Answer:	No, the front window of this cover is not removable. I wish it was, it would provide alot more air in the back for the dogs. There are other brands out there that do have removable windows.

Answer:	The tent fits over the tailgate. So if you don't have an additional step down, you would have to have a mid-point step to get out of the truck bed safely (especially if you are incapacitated by disability or age). Happy camping.

Question:	It's the first time for me to replace such struts on my leer cap, are they easy or difficult
Answer:	They were very easy for me to replace, and feel that anyone can do it without difficulty. Have someone hold the window up, or support it with a board. Use a screwdriver to remove the old strut, by prying the retainer spring up and pull out on the strut. Do the same for the opposite end. Wipe away any dirt or grease, and install the new strut by pushing it onto the stud.

How to Choose the Correct Gas Struts for the Job?

• It is essential to measure the weight of the lid --
• Use a pole and bathroom scale to weigh at the position you will mount gas struts, usually at the position 30%-50% from the hinge; If the scale read 60 Lbs we recommend you choose a pair of 60lbs struts at least! (Force recommendation: 60-80 lbs)
• We suggest the length of a strut equals about 1/2-2/3 of the lid length.

How to Install the Gas Strut for the Job?

• IF you will install them on your truck or camper shell, it is super easy;
• IF you will install them on a new build, please install as per the following instruction:
• 1. Open the lid to the position you required, mark a point at 1/3 to halfway from the hinge to the opposite side of the lid as the upper mounting point
• 2. The lower mounting point is often just blow the upper mounting point. Keep in mind that the strut does not need to be perfectly vertical
• Adjustment method:
• If you feel it is is too weak, move the mount point on the lid opposites to the hinge direction; If you feel the pressure is too strong when open/close , move the mount point on the lid closer to the hinge direction to reduce the pressure played by the struts
