Answer:	You can purchase a replacement set (Current price $10 (Prime) here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M04YTFG I actually found that the balls which fit my twin nephews' other ball drop toys fit this toy. I purchased these for them and they LOVE that they shake and add an extra dimension to the noise of this toy. The only drawback is that these don't have "green" and they are plastic. Currently they are $8 (Prime) for a set of extras. They do hold up very well though considering the twins fight over them constantly and bang them around with the hammer and any other toy they can find. Answer:	This sounds like low batteries. The Critters will beep when battery power is at about 15%., I would replace the batteries with fresh new ones and see if that helps!
