    Product description

StitchArtist is a program to create machine embroidery designs from scratch. You start using existing artwork or by ‘drawing with stitches.’ You control the shapes, set the stitch type and properties, and StitchArtist generates stitches for you. When you want to create stitches, that’s what it does. Level 1 is designed for a hobby embroiderer who needs to be able to create stitches without going into debt or spending much computer time. Level 1 offers a limited set of stitch types and, more importantly, properties for those stitches, so that the user can simply ‘create’ without needing to learn many steps. Typical projects for Level 1 are applique designs, running stitch designs and simple filled shapes, backgrounds or unifying elements for design compositions etc.

    User questions & answers

Question: Does this program have knockdown capabilities
Answer: Talk to the seller. He should know.
Question: What is rhe difference between Level 1 and Level
Answer: I installed this on a Juki DLN-415. Bolted right up. Removed 3phase clutch type motor. Best option, love the adjustability and the ease of installation.
Question: How does this program work with Brother's embroidery machines? Does the machines read the designs from this program
Answer: I bought this same motor and yes it does not seem to go at the slowest setting. I built a pulley reducer for my machine and that really helps getting the machine down to a slow speed with lots of torque. Another thing to consider is removing the brake in this servo motor so you are able to hand turn the machine without having to slightly depress the pedal. I think it is a good motor. It just needs the reducing system.
Question: What is the difference between stitch artist 1, 2 and 3? I'm very confused as to which one to buy. Thank you
Answer: They work together. The speed control puts a given amount of speed / power on deck, but the foot pedal, within reason, transfers power and dictates the speed of your stitch - just like driving a car. However, if you have the knob turned way down you can floor the pedal and nothing is going to happen. Conversely, if you crank the knob up, just touching the pedal will rocket the stitching mechanism into movement.

Level 2 is designed for production and skills training for those who would like to create more sophisticated embroidery designs including corporate logos, and offers a wider cross section of tools and stitch types that allow the creation of virtually any design.

Level 3 is meant for those who truly love to create designs or for digitizers working commercially in machine embroidery. Shapes can also be imported from True Type fonts for digitizing and alteration.

Once you have created your shapes, you can apply stitch properties to each, and can alter their position and sequence, as well as any of your stitch settings at any time at the click of a button.

    4. Simulated spline entry makes shape creation easy for users unfamiliar with Bezier making creation easier to teach, while SA allows editing with the precision of Bezier curves on items after they are generated.

Answer: I have no first hand knowledge as I only own Level 1. I do believe the summary on Embrilliance.com might be helpful.
Question: What does "no color" mean? Are you saying that the software only displays in black and white
Answer: Yes works with my brothers pe800. You put in what format you want.
Question: Is this compatible with the Brother LB
Answer: I bought #1 and am not happy with the fact that it is very basic and does not let you digitize your own art. The only thing you can digitize are the fonts and art they provide in their program. Other wise it is a good program but now I find I need to buy more software. They provide a little more with #2 and if I am not mistaken, #3 has all the features including 1 and 2. I'm going to call the company direct to be sure before I invest in anymore of their software.

Based on 4 reviews Check latest price
    • This package upgrades your existing registered StitchArtist Level 1 program to StitchArtist Level 3. You need to own level 1 to use this product.
    • StitchArtist is a program to create machine embroidery designs from scratch. You start using existing artwork or by ‘drawing with stitches.’ You control the shapes, set the stitch type and properties, and StitchArtist generates stitches for you. It features productivity enhancements such as Quick Styles and Stylesheets, as well as a set of Vector functions including Import and Export to .svg and cut files. There are also useful tools such as automatic outlining of stitches and inflate/deflate as well as Magic Wand for lines.

    Grow with your Skill Level

StitchArtist comes in three levels to suit different skills and needs; you can always purchase upgrades and move to the next level of skill and complexity as you learn.

Level 1 is designed for a hobby embroiderer who needs simple digitizing software able to create stitches without expensive software or complicated, time-consuming tools.

It includes advanced tools for shape manipulation, a much wider set of stitch types, and tools that enhance both artistic interpretation and efficiency. SA3 has the most options for input and publishing, making it the choice for stock design creators and professionals.

    How do you use StitchArtist?

Most users will begin by importing a background image of a design that they want to embroider. They will then create ‘objects’. These objects are the shapes that will be stitched in the design. Those who are familiar with any modern drawing tool will feel comfortable with StitchArtist as it uses a Bezier model of shaping; even so, StitchArtist also includes a 'spline' drawing mode that makes object creation easy, even for those who have never used drawing software. Shapes can also be imported from True Type fonts for digitizing and alteration.

Once you have created your shapes, you can apply stitch properties to each, and can alter their position and sequence, as well as any of your stitch settings at any time at the click of a button.

    Easy Editing and Reworking

Editing outlines is a frequent task when creating designs. StitchArtist helps make this easier and more efficient with the following features:

    1. Instant and automatic stitch generation for immediate viewing of the results of your edit.
    2. One mode for selection, editing, coloring, moving, sizing, rotating or adjusting properties.
    3. Multiple display modes that allow you to see your work in line art, stitches, and 3D preview and alter the visibility of your source art easily, no matter the process or mode you are working in.
    4. Simulated spline entry makes shape creation easy for users unfamiliar with Bezier making creation easier to teach, while SA allows editing with the precision of Bezier curves on items after they are generated.

Stitch Artist level 3 adds expert tools and advanced shape creation to your StitchArtist suite.

StitchArtist Level 3 includes Level 1 and Level 2 and is designed for those who truly love to create designs and for digitizers working commercially in machine embroidery.

StitchArtist Level 3 includes advanced tools such as Styles, QuickStyles, an Eyelet tool, carving lines, and graphical operators for working with shapes such as Cut, AND, Union, Flatten, Inflate/Deflate, Re-construct and Break.

The properties for each stitch type are fully revealed, and operations for vector support, including export were added to let you draw .svg and files for plotter/cutters directly.

Create and Publish Assets and Designs

Stitch Artist Level 3 allows digitizers to create content for the Embrilliance ecosystem allowing for publishing motifs, embossed effects, and custom object-based embroidery fonts, and allowing for the sharing of stylesheets. Moreover, batch exporting of stitch files makes StitchArtist 3 a perfect choice for stock design creators.

Automatic Branching for easy Sequencing and Pathing

StitchArtist level 3 includes branching of all object types including sub-branches that don’t need to touch to be included in the sequence.

    User questions & answers

Question: after purchase will i receive serial number automatically or do I need to wait for it to come in the mail
Answer: I use it for my embroidery and sewing machine. I honestly see no difference between it and their other thread. It says shiny, but if you have it mixed in with your other threads from that company, you can’t tell a difference. Shiny doesn’t mean slippery.
Question: Will this be able to make designs in pes format to work on brother pe
Answer: I use mine for both. Try to make sure the spool sits upright on your machine though. Laying horizontally on the thread pin, I found the thread gets caught on some jagged edges and I broke a few needles that way. Otherwise, no issues with embroidery or sewing.
Question: What version of embrilliance do I need to convert vector files to embroidery files? I use Flexisign vector software for car wraps
Answer: No, this is strictly for machine embroidery. This thread isn't splitble. Embroidery floss usually has 6 threads to split as needed from thin to thick. This thread is more for hand sewing, to machine sewing to machine embroidery, which has excellent results.
