Wash & evaluate the paint

• Before applying a polish, wash and dry the paint to remove loose dirt and debris. This is always an important step in detailing. Always use a pH balanced car wash soap like Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax as this will preserve your wax protection.

• Next, run your clean, dry fingertips over the paint. If the paint feels rough to the touch this indicates that you have bonded contaminants on top of your paint. These are things like tree sap mist, industrial fallout, road tar, and paint overspray. Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay Kit comes with everything you need to safely remove contaminants bonded on the paint and leave it as smooth as glass.

• Finally, evaluate the paint for below surface defects. If you have light to moderate swirls, scratches, oxidation, water spots, or etchings you would want to use a product like Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound before applying a polish and a wax.

Tips for applying Ultimate Polish by hand

• For best results, apply in the shade to a cool, clean surface.
• Dispense a small amount of polish on a foam applicator, or polishing pad, like Meguiar’s Foam Applicator Pads.
• Work the polish in thin and evenly to a 1-2 square foot area using light to moderate pressure in tight circles. Make 4-6 overlapping passes per section.
• Wipe residue off immediately, before it dries, with a premium microfiber towel. Flip the towel to a clean portion for a final wipe. Work in sections over the vehicle.
• Don’t forget to apply a long-lasting wax protection to seal everything in with something like Meguiar’s Ultimate Liquid Wax.

Answer:	I use this on my natural nail. Be sure to use the base coat first and I always use two coats of color. I’ve had it last 3 weeks before chipping started. I always use the 90 seconds also to help cure better (not sure if that actually helps lol), lasts for weeks on toenails as well.

Preparing Nails

Application Process

• Base Coat: Apply thin base coat, cure under LED lamp for 60-90 seconds.
• Gel polish: Apply first thin layer of color gel polish and cure under LED nail dryer for 90-120 seconds. Apply the second or third layer color gel polish. When applying color, wipe excess gel with a brush before applying strokes.
• Top Coat: Finish off with a layer of top coat, cure under uv light for 90-120 seconds.

Removal Process

1. Lightly buff off the shine from the top of nails using a nail buffer.
2. Soak a cotton ball or pad with nail gel remover and place on top of each nail.
3. Wrap the nail with aluminum foil or any nail wrap to secure and allow the remover to soak.
4. Soak for a minimum of 15 minutes.
5. Remove cotton and foils one at a time and gently push off gel using a removal wand. Gel should come off easily without much effort.
6. Lightly buff nails again once all gel is removed.

• Note: Please DO NOT apply gel polish to nails that damaged or infected. Please cure the fungus on nails before manicure.

Answer:	McGuire's "Ultimate Polish" is intended to be applied/removed by hand or with an orbital buffer. "Mirror Glaze" is for use with a variable speed polisher or Dual Action polisher. The former is for diy'ers and the latter is primarily for professional detailers. As for the reason behind their extensive product line, Money. Money is the reason. They want it and we have it. Answer:	It washes off in the bath. My toddler picks it off easily. I painted my toe nails and it stayed when I showered. If you don't pick at it, it stays well.

Answer:	It washed out of my daughter’s nightgown, after quite a few times washing it and soaking it. It will come out faster with non-acetone remover and high pressure rinse out, like from a garden hose type pressure. Good luck. Great nail polish though, dries fast and peels off without having to use remover on my very girlie 3 year olds hands.
