Answer:	I threw it in the trash. The lid did not fit the company told me to send it back and if they felt there was something wrong they would give me my money back. Are you kidding so I just put it in the track. Have no idea after all this time where it was made.

Answer:	I suppose it depends on what yo are cooking. I only use it for oatmeal. I have it on a timer. I set it to turn on an hour and a half before I get up. WHen I get up, the oatmeal is ready to eat. I use the low setting. It works great!

Answer:	Mine would not program or cook and after 30 days they would not let me return it. Black and Decker was absolutely no help.

Answer:	It does get pretty hot, but I don't think it is enough to burn. The last two slow cookers I have owned have been the same way, so I generally don't go touching them to see. If you have kids it is s important to keep the slow cooker out of reach just as you would a pot on the stove full of hot liquid.
