Answer:	I would say ages 2/3 and up. The books are very basic and depending on reading level, a 1st grader could read all the words... They are not long books so for younger children, they could sit while an adult read to them.

Answer:	These were a gift for my daughter for Christmas - we haven't opened them yet. My daughter is 17mths old. I'm not sure if you are worried about the books being too old or too young. But if it is for younger child, as an occupational therapist, I can tell you these books are great for developing dexterity (hand use) in smaller children.
