| Answer: | Well...My daughter has been using it for about 1.5 months. I haven't used it personally, but checked it out. Here's my novel: The lower tube has a plastic insert at the top. The upper tube fits inside the plastic insert and telescopes up and down. The knurled center piece tightens the plastic insert so that the height can be adjusted. I had to tighten it fairly snug to prevent the upper tube with the mirror from sliding down. The "Y" frame that holds the mirror has a metal threaded insert pressed into the bottom of the "Y" that screws into the top of the upper tube. This can back-out if you try to swivel the mirror side-to-side. I need to put some Lock-Tite on these threads.I know this isn't what you asked but bear with me. Because of the way the stand is designed as I described, I do not think the mirror is supposed to swivel along the axis of the tube (back 'n' forth). But the mirror is supposed to swivel upon the horizontal axis (two points attached at the top of the "Y" frame). There is a plastic bushing on the little shaft at either side of the mirror. These ride inside the holes at top part of the "Y" frame. There is a knurl nut that threads onto both sides to hold the mirror in place. A plastic washer goes between the nut and the "Y" frame. Now for your question after my novel! LOL! My daughter's mirror never got "stuck" when I rotated the mirror along the horizontal axis. But I did notice that it tightened up a little. This was from the right knurl nut tightening as I spun the mirror top towards me. I am going to put Lock-Tite on the both of the knurl nut threads to prevent the nut from spinning at all.Hope this helped. All-n-all, I'd say this is a worth while buy for the price. |

I look in the x10 part and just can tilt head or mirror to really focus on something in the x15 area ... like tweezing brows. I never found it a problem, but perhaps for some it may be just adjusting oneself like learning to wear bifocals or something. I LOVE this mirror and don't know how I lived without it ... well, except that I was younger and had better eyesight. LOL! |

Because the mirror is heavy and is moved a lot, we used toggle bolts instead as we didn't have a stud in the area we were mounting the mirror.
