Answer:	The inside has little cloth sleeves that hold each brush in place. I personally purchased an expensive brush cleaner my first go around then bought a cheap drug store cleaner and realized it's pretty much the same thing minus the scent. I would get a brush cleaner from the drug store if I were you. Also, I clean the brushes I use for cream products after every use and the ones I use for powder products weekly :)

Answer:	As far as I know it is synthetic fiber. But I will tell you this, synthetic fiber brushes are much better for applying foundation due to the fact that the product is transferred from the brush to your skin, with natural hairs the follicles absorb half of your product !!!!!!!

Answer:	If you're serious about cruelty-free and want to be totally sure that you're purchasing cruelty-free, I'd totally suggest going for synthetic taklon makeup brushes. Excellent quality brands such as ecotools and real techniques have them. Any company claiming to sell cruelty-free with natural animal hair brushes made in China are likely not giving you the full story. Stick with synthetic - lots of high quality, reasonably-priced alternatives out there!

Answer:	I only use half of them (including the spoolie). And the kit doesn't have anything for foundation, contouring, brows, or eyeshadow blending. I will probably replace the 12 I do use in the next year. Not all at once though.For $17, those 12 brushes, I think are worth it for me. Mainly I use blush, powder, most of the eyeshadows, concealers, and the fan. And with the exception of the concealer brushes (which I don't get!) they all work fine! No issues with shedding, I wash and condition, the shapes are holding okay so far. I'm still a new owner, so let's see how long they last.If I were going back in time, I might re-buy. I won't in the future though.

They don't leave the brush marks all over your face and they blend really good. The hairs don't fall out either.
