Answer:	It isn't very heavy but isn't flimsy either. Mine is black but all sides are painted. It's not quite glossy but not completely matte and is smooth. I wouldn't get it wet. You can turn it the other way.

Answer:	I'm not certain what you mean by a cubicle desk, but the measurements in the description of the bookshelf should help you determine if it will fit. I currently have my bookshelf sitting on an IKEA desk and I still have enough room on my desk for my printer and a two magazine storage holders.

Answer:

This cable works great for my AC powered device located on the other side of the room from my PC. I have no negatives to report. I suspect that if you were trying to power a device by USB there may be a problem, but I can neither confirm or deny since my device is powered externally, as a printer would be. Also, the cable is sturdy, unlike some bargain cables I've bought before. I can definitely recommend it. If the need would ever arise for a USB for another externally powered device I wouldn't hesitate to buy this cable.
