Answer:	Right between the center of watch and the 6 o'clock position there's a digital window display. In that window you can set a digital time display, and other items like a stopwatch mode. One mode you can set is the date mode, and it will display something like 9-21-SA for Sept 21st Saturday. The big drawbacks are; you have to get the instructions online and the different modes and 4-button sequences can be quite confounding. (LOL) Additionally, you can accidentally "change modes" and you need to remember what buttons to push to get the date back in the display. The nice feature is, once you set the digital time and then the month date and year; you don't have to reset anything with months of 30 or 31 days etc. The computer chip keeps track of everything, even leap years. Another drawback to that particular 4-button Timex Expedition is the analog "hands"... The hour and minute hands are translucent with just a dab of white paint at the "tips". With the bright white numbers and hour markings, and then these two metal embedded crosshairs; you can't always determine the time with just a quick glance at the analog face..? You've got to sometimes study a few seconds to locate the hour and minute hands location..? Other than those items, that 4-button Timex Expedition is a tremendous timepiece for the price.
