Spray Application Tips

Dispense (2-2.5 oz) of spray solution into gun solution cup for the average person (150 lbs). Do not oversaturate skin. Keeping gun 6 inches from skin, spray in a smooth sweeping motion. (12-14 inches when spraying face, hands and feet) Any unused solution may be stored in an airtight container and reused within a 24-hour period. Always clean gun thoroughly & allow to air dry.

Solution Safety

HANDLING SAFETY: Avoid Contact with Eyes and Sensitive Mucus Membranes. The use of nose filters, eye shields, protective under garments and lip balm are recommended.

Do not pour through metal funnel, stir with metal spoon, or store in metal container.

Spray Results

The DHA (active ingredient which interacts with the amino acids within the skin cells producing a color change) will begin to activate within 2-4 hours after application. Do not bathe, shower or sweat for at least 8-hours after application. Avoid chlorinated pools for 18-hours. Brown cosmetic bronzers will wash away during first shower.

Full DHA results develop within 18-24 hours. Client results should last 5-7 days.

Answer:	Not sure of actual weight. However, I’ve taken it to many friends houses very easily. And it’s very quick & easy to set up. Best investment ever. I would doing a mobile tanning company on the go should definitely be NO problem. Go make that money!
Question:	How long does tan last? Is it waterproof
Answer:	When you use the primer (which is included) the spray tan will last about 4 days. However, you shower first then spray primer & tan solution the you CANNOT SHOWER FOR ABOUT 24 hrs. And that should last for the four days. NO SPRAY TAN IS WATERPROOF. Only tanning BEDS are waterproof. All this is the same for Tanning Salons. It’s a great investment & tanning. Just like the salon but only in the comfort of your home & much cheaper.

Answer:	Hello Natalie, please contact us, and we can get you in touch with a USA based Maximist Technician, who can help you to properly adjust and set your gun. You can also review the information in your product booklet if you prefer for adjusting your gun.You need to fine tune the adjustment at the trigger dial, to product a smooth even spray. And you also need to have the correct spray application technique. Do not spray back and forth over a freshly sprayed wet area, as you need to let solution absorb a bit before respraying an area. So you do a spray pass, then move over and hit the next unsprayed area - covering the entire body with one thin coat. Then come back and do a second thin overlapping coat.We will be glad to help you, if you message us.
Question:	When you remove the sprayer, can you dry your clients with air from the hose
Answer:	yes, the hose will blow air only, when removed from the gun, to facilitate client drying.
Question:	i read on the reviews, that the ideal is to spray every other day or every 3 days, but how this fade off in between? will you get stripes or marks
Answer:	It depends on what type of solution you purchase I usually buy Novell and it lasts about a week and a half. I would have to disagree with the 3 days or every other day but I guess it depends on how dark you want to be and what your using. This starter kit is a great purchase though I absolutely love it

Question:	I just purchased the maxi and I like it but, i am having an issue with the gun. It seems to come out splotchy I noticed like maybe I applied to much
Answer:	This can happen for a few different reasons:-Make sure skin is clean , dry and product free. With no oil lotion, soap or exfoliate residue on skin that can hamper absorption.-Make sure gun is correctly adjusted per product booklet. -Do not spray back and forth over a wet sprayed area. Rather make one pass, move on to the next area, slightly overlapping edges a bit only. Two coats of solution at one oz each works well, to minimize missed areas, but allo good solution absorption. Spray the entire body with one once, then come back and do a second coat of one oz.-If you are applying more then 2 oz to entire body, you are applying to much solution, so readjust gun or technique.-Adjust the flow knob on the gun (see your product book) make sure it is set for a smooth even soft flow, if it comes out to fast your can adjust it down a bit toward the MINUS setting. If it comes out to slow, with no solution spraying out, or spits and sputters, you have it adjusted down to low.If you still need help, please message us through Amazon messages, we have technicians onhand, that can speak with you to help you correctly adjust your gun. Then you need to practice your technique.--STP

Answer:	Heavy application causes it to drip. Be sure that you do not hold it too close or that you dont put another layer on until the previous one has dried. It was my first time using one. I also had my boyfriend do my back. He did a great job every time. You can turn it any direction. I had to adjust the air when i first got it but had no issues after i figured out how to do it. I really hope that helps. Im really picky and i love this product.

Answer:	The filter in your unit can be washed gently by hand and air dryer. It would not need to be replaced unless it becomes torn or damaged. Your spare parts kit contains one extra.If you still find you need a filter, you can purchase the filter media at any Pet Store locally (Petsmart etc) - the material is standard foam material used for Fish Aquariums and Pond Filters. Color may differ, but it works the same. Just purchase the Foam Filter material in sheets, rolls or packs, and cut to fit.

PREPARATION:

The body has an exfoliation period of seven-days, the face does it in one-day, so we recommend that you do following preparation for longer lasting results

☼ Shave, sharp blades accelerate the exfoliation process, and you’ll lose color in your legs quicker.

☼ Shower and use Sun Labs exfoliator, this will remove dead skin cells, and it will reset the bodies exfoliation period for a longer lasting tan.

☼ After your shower do not apply body lotion.

APPLICATION:

The best time to apply your self-tanner is after you shower, for your pores open ten-times more, and the bronzer will be able to develop deeper in the epidermis for longer lasting results.

☼ Put on your tanning mitt, or vinyl glove, for the hand palm does not have pores and your hands will get stain.

☼ When applying the self-tanner, apply in a circular motion to avoid streaking.

☼ Use less self-tanner on the elbows and knees, for these part require less to get the perfect tan you are going for.

☼ After you have finished the application, allow a minimum of 5 hours before taking a shower, for best result wait 8 hours.

It has a cord, however I wouldn’t recommend it. I was so excited to get it, and when it arrived there were two problems with it: 1. It had a European plug (and I live in america, so I had to buy an adaptor... No big deal, I went out and bought one). 2.once I attached the adaptor it worked perfectly EXCEPT no spray tan liquid came out! I don’t think it had anything to do with the adapter, because lots of air was coming out, the fan and spray were working perfectly, but zero product came out. Lots of air, but no product. So disappointing. Not worth the wait or the money I returned it.
