One application didn't do it either time, but twice with the second application 10 days after the first did. Both times she got it at school so maybe she was getting reexposed? Not sure. Both are “touch free” in the fact that you have to break the glass vial to add the medication to the soft pad so you can put it on the affected area. However, with touch free, you often get 4-5 vials, because there’s no moisturizer. The single dose only gives 2 vials and the tube of moisturizer. Having used both, I’d say that I prefer to have the additional doses, just in case I need them, rather than the moisturizer. I have also tried Herpicin L 30 and that’s amazing at keeping the cold sores from even forming. If I do have the unfortunate experience to have a cold sore form though, I reach for the Orajel Touch Free. I hope that info helps. |

| Answer: | Hi there! While this would be good for scars, there isn't a need to have the lemon balm in the salve you use, as this product is made more for blisters. I would personally recommend our "Urban ReLeaf Zinc Oxide Salve", which is also made from raw shea butter, but has no essential oils in it. This is a much more gentle salve with a higher zinc percentage and would be better for scars and tissue healing.
