Answer:	I’m sorry, I don’t know the answer to that. I purchased mine with the electric start. But here’s the thing. I’ve never used it for two reasons. First the machine starts so easily without it and secondly, it’s more of a hassle to use the electric start. It’s not just the push of a button type of thing. You have to get an extension cord plug that into the snowblower, then hit the electric start button, disconnect the cord and then proceed. It’s more of an electric assist start. Still it works well. ( I had to try it of course ) but I wouldn’t spend the money to retrofit it. In my opinion it isn’t worth it.
