Answer:	Yes it can. I put it in a small laundry bag, making sure that the velcro is attached to the material, so that it doesn't catch on anything while in the washing machine. Then I let it air dry, as the dryer heat would be to much for this synthetic material, it will wear out the material faster.

Boiling: Heat in boiling water for 4-6 minutes. Use tongs to remove the pack from the water.

Microwave: Heat for 30s on medium. Times may vary based on the power of your microwave. After removing from the microwave, knead and flex the gel-pack to distribute the heat.

Answer:	Yes, after using it for an extraction procedure (it worked GREAT btw-the pump and the product itself), the pump stopped working all of sudden. You can pop the top off though (carefully..) and use the product inside.
