I wouldn't hesitate to drain it into gray water usage because of its natural ingredients (my grandmother used to drain her old timey washing machine into her kitchen garden and who knows what soap she used in that!). | Answer: | I don't use this on my hair, but I've used it as my only shower soap for at least a decade (always the lavender one). Only a little bit provides plentiful rich lather! I love this stuff, and because it has real essential oil in it, not fake fragrance, I've never had a reaction to it -- and I have skin that is very sensitive to any fake fragrance, almost everything else I use has to be unscented. Lasts FOREVER too. I also like the 16 oz bottles as they last a long while, but aren't too huge and cumbersome to use as the 32 oz are. Warning: Don't ever use the Peppermint one in any sensitive areas - it can burn! |

Some people may not have noticed the difference but I have a diagnoses of fragrance hypersensitivity along with asthma and allergies and as soon as I opened the second bottle I sensed the lavender fragrance. The thing is I've purchased this product many times with no issue. I wanted to believe this was a one off matter but reading your question makes me wonder if this is more widespread. |

I use vinegar in the softener dispenser. Just don’t mix vinegar & the baking soda. One is an acid the other a base and cancel each other out. |

I've never heard of T3 with regards to Dr Bronner soap, and I asked my stepfather, who is a pharmacist, what T3 could mean. He said T3 is a thyroid hormone, and that's the only definition he's ever heard of. There would not be T3 in Dr Bronner's soap. None of the ingredients listed are called T3, nor could any of the ingredients under any circumstances be called T3. I used logic to article at this answer. Maybe ask your source for clarification. |
