Very bright light can damage the retina of the eye. You should frankly be wearing light-filtering glasses no matter where you use the light, but you most definitely need it if you are going to use it on the face or neck. I also put one hand over the glasses to block as much light as possible before clicking the zapper with the other hand.2. Since the skin in these areas is much more sensitive than that on the legs, and also since home IPL machines don't have a cooling mechanism attached to the light to reduce discomfort, I recommend using only the lowest setting. The sting I feel with each flash is about the same as with the professional device used in my dermatologist's office.3. Answer:	No. It does not work on blonde hair. It's also not great on dark, course hair. The best results are on dark fine/medium hair.

Answer:	It didn't work for me, despite consistent usage. I have medium brown skin and black hair so I assumed I was a good candidate. However, after many months, the hairs are still there.
