Answer:	The blade is supposed to bend at the edges after the doors are tightly closed. This is normal on most twist to open razors.

Answer:	I've never tried using this razor on my head or private parts and quite frankly, I never would. This is a fairly aggressive razor and pretty unforgiving. I have very thick, curly facial hair so I need a hard core razor to get an effective shave. I'm an experienced DE shaver and I've still nicked myself a time or two with this razor. I'd recommend you use a less aggressive one, especially down there.
Question:	Adjustment plates dont seem to work, blade stays in one positionand wont adjust. What gives
Answer:	It could be clogged with soap scum but it's hard to say. You might try soaking it in a MILD solution of white vinegar and using a soft toothbrush. According to Viking Blades this model may require extra care due to the finish. You might consider contacting them.

Answer:	Hi Oleg, The Emperor has a very different head design.It has 4 lather channels on each side as opposed to the solid block design on the Crusader, making it less head heavy. The Emperor also has the settings engraved on the collar. The mildest setting on the Emperor is milder than the mildest setting on the Crusader- hence, the Emperor is a friendlier razor than the Crusader and is suitable for both daily shavers or people who shave every few days (as the lather channels helps drain thick soap scum and long hair). Answer:	I bought an Anself Men's Shaving Razor Stand Holder for $9.19. It doesn't have a brush Holder, very minimalist. It is made of aluminum. The opening for the handle is just right at 14 mm.
Question:	What is the purpose of the non-matching safety bars? One side is smooth and the other is like a comb
Answer:	According to the manufacturer, the comb side provides a slightly more aggressive attack for areas of your face that can tolerate it. The smooth side is for areas that are more sensitive. Think of the adjustable collar as the overall aggressiveness of the razor and the two sides as the fine tuning of that.
Question:	Have the quality control issues regarding the blade not sitting flat been addressed? That is the only thing holding me back from purchasing right now
Answer:	If you read the description you will see that is not a quality control issue. It is a design feature. I use hand planes for planning wood. The correct way to hone a plane iron is exactly how these blades are designed to function. A plane iron is supposed to have a very subtle curve so that the corners don't contact the wood and leave gouge marks. It works much better than have the iron sharpened with a flat straight edge. I have not yet received my razor to give you first hand advise, but from the other reviews it seems that this design works very well.

Question:	Never used a DE razor. Would you suggest this for a true beginner
Answer:	If you want a good razor for a beginner but the razorock mission it's mild inexpensive and has different handles to choose from. It's way better than the Edwin Jagger de89 or merkur 34c. You can get it from Italian barber online and I believe it's like 20 bucks with the most expensive handle
Question:	How do you replace the blade? Is it butterfly or easy/quick? Also, will it rust in the shower
Answer:	You unscrew the bottom until the top comes off. You then replace the blade. It is not an easy or butterfly razor. I leave my razor in the shower, I have never worried about it rusting.
Question:	Just got it and it won't adjust to setting 1 with a blade in it. Don't want to crank too hard. Is that normal
Answer:	With a blade inserted, mine goes to about 1-1/2. The markings are just for reference. Just remember where you like it compared to fully closed. I like 4 for the face, and 3 for the neck, where avoiding cuts is more important than smoothness.

Answer:	The stand I purchased is chrome, the Razor set does not come with a stand.

Answer:	Not sure if you are asking if this razor takes other brands of blades, but if that's your question, it will take any brand of double edge blades.
Question:	Is the a good DE for a completely first time user
Answer:	In my opinion it is a solid razor. A bit on the weighty side but very forgiving and very tunable. It is also inexpensive which is nice especially when ur just starting the not this hobby. Pair it with a good blade like a feather or Gillette Platinum and boom there ya go.
Question:	Does this knockoff brands quality stack up to the original Merker Futur razor
Answer:	You can obtain good shaves with both razors. The authentic Merkur is a bit heavier, more durable, and machined to higher tolerances. The knockoffs are made of cheaper and more brittle metal compositions. Consequently, they will not be as durable. Sometimes the knockoffs are not properly assembled. Sometimes the handle will not be properly attached to the head. This can result in uneven or excessive blade gaps. That said, you can get a good shave with a properly machined and assembled knockoff.
