Wicking away using copper braid with flux (solder wick) removes the solder so you can reinstall the new tab cleanly and properly and clinch it to the bd. Then add liquid flux if you have it or just use multi core solder that has flux inside the solder wire and a small tip soldering iron to melt the solder and complete the connection. Soldering is the best & most reliable option. Conductive epoxy, usually with silver, is another but requires an oven heating cycle and is more time consuming and more of an expense. This assuming one has the soldering tools and related items to make this repair in the first place. |

They are all black in color with yellow lettering: DeWalt 18v. I ordered a pair of 18v Ni-Cd batteries - Type 1 - DC9096 through Amazon. They have a black body with a yellow top and yellow lettering: DeWalt 18v XRP. The body is 0.4" taller than the 18v Ni-Cd battery - Type 1 - DC9009. The 18v Ni-Cd XRP battery has a longer charge life (run time) than the shorter, all black 18v Ni-Cd battery - Type 1 - DC9099. Both battery types are compatible with my DeWalt tools. I do not have the 18v XR2 battery, but it is also compatible with DeWalt battery-powered tools. The longer your beard the more difficulty you'll have, if I let it go for more than 2-3 days I'll use a beard trimmer first. I've used Norelco products for as long as I can remember but the fancier they got the more poorly they performed and inordinately expensive to maintain ($50.+ for replacement blades recommended 2X yearly). This whole razor cost much less than that and works better read and follow the directions and I think you'll be satisfied. |

Lifting the hair from the pore prior to cutting is what can lead to bumping up. After cutting the whiskers can retract, resulting in it being cut below the surface where it becomes trapped and infected. Rotary shavers and multi-blade wet razors often do this and that’s why bumping is a problem with them. Additionally, some people have an allergy to nickel, which is why on our Bump-Free shaver (Model #7339) we have used hypoallergenic titanium coated foils to reduce inflammation caused by allergic reaction. If the skin becomes enflamed it can have the same result as lifting and cutting by putting the whisker below the skins surface. So the Bump-Free shaver may be a better choice if you have a nickel allergy. Hope this helps you to make the right choice to avoid bumping up. |

How to replace your shave head.
For older models which have a foil and a cutter block as two independent parts, you will need to change the parts in two steps:
First remove the foil, either by pressing the release button if you shaver has one, or by pulling the foil.
Next rotate the cutter block by 90 degrees and pull it off, holding it at the ends to avoid touching the blades.
To fit new parts, simply carry out the same procedure in reverse.
