There is no need to worry about batteries. Your razor has a warning light that tells you when it needs to be charged. I do not know about the lifetime of the rechargeable battery. The manufacturer could provide that info. I have had my razor for 5 years now and it still has the original battery in it. Happy

Different form factor for shape of shaver bodies (7500 is slimmer and slightly shorter), different backs, both are very ergonomic.Less obvious:1. 7500 has "Comfort Rings" surrounding the combs and cutters, whcih really do produce less friction and a more comfortable shave. Combs and cutters appear identical to 9700.2. 7500 has 5 axes of movement on the head, 9700 has 8. Theoretically greater flexibility of the 9700 head follows facial contours better, practically your mileage may vary, and I honestly can't tell a difference.3. Cleaning station for 7500 cleans, lubricates and charges, 9700 cleans, lubricates, charges and dries. Since drying for the 9700 takes 4 hours anyway (by induction), the difference may be negligible since the 7500 will dry through evaporation. Cleaning stations are not interchangeable but are identical in size and shape, same cleaning cartridge.4. Answer:	The biggest difference is that the 6100 was released sometime around August 2010 whereas the 5500 was released sometime around December 2015. Under the hood, it seems that everything is very similar but there are a few small upgrades on the 5500: the blade systems are very similar (Dual Precision on the 6100 vs Multi Precision on the 5500), shave time of 40 minutes vs 45 minutes, better ergonomic grip, 2 level power indicator vs 3 level power indicator, new turbo mode, etc. The big benefit of the 6100 is that it's cheaper, and the blade replacements are cheaper as well.

Question:	Commercials show people dryshaving against the grain. Is this really capable of that and a total shave or is this best as just a "trim" tool
Answer:	When you clean the razor in the base, some hair goes into the solution cartridge. I found that some collects in the base and needs to be wiped out or rinsed out when you change the cartridge. I have to do all this for my husband!
Question:	Alright guys, how well does it shave downstairs
Answer:	Just rinse it under the sink while it’s turned on. You can also add a drop or two of hand soap before rinsing it under the sink. If you do pre-rinse the cutting head make sure you then use the cleaning station, as rinsing the cutting head in the sink removes all lubricant from the razor. The Braun cleaning solution is just alcohol and lemon oil, the lemon oil acts as a lubricant.
Question:	Can you use on your sensitive areas
Answer:	My girlfriend uses one for her legs, armpits, and lady bits. It leaves her skin smooth and free of razor burn or ingrown hairs. We both own this (I use mine on my face though)

Answer:	Black man here. I've had one of these for 5 years and can add my voice to the mix: only minor skin irritations, but I don't use aftershave at all, just some lotion. My only extra advice is that the automatic cleaner base broke after 2 years, but the plug goes directly into the shaver, which I now buzz into a glass of soap. And the sideburn shaver part broke off just this year, but the shaver still lasts for 10+ shaves / 6 weeks for a charge after all this time.
