Question:	I just got this shaver (without a cleaning base) and in Manual I don't see any mention of putting oil on the blades. Does it need to be oiled
Answer:	I have been using foil shavers for about 60 years, I am now 76, and never used oil. When the blades cut whiskers they also stuff off some skin cells. I don't think it is healthy for the skin to put machine oil on it. You don't see this in the manual because it's not a good idea in my opinion.

Answer:	Definitely super close shave. A great deal depends on the perfection of your technique: Use a small amount of moisture of any kind during the final minute or two so that the skin will bunch up/roll as the shaver head is pressed over it. This exposes the very roots of the whiskers to the cutters. The result is an ultra smooth shave easily the equivalent of the Gillette razor.
Question:	I always end up having problems with the cleaning station. Anyone have any issues with this model
Answer:	I've had two cleaning stations break on me, both times the pump stopped working. First lasted just ever a year. Panasonic wouldn't sell me a replacement, so the first time I had to send the razor+cleaning station back and they sent me a brand new razor+cleaning station as a warranty replacement. Such a waste, since there was nothing wrong with the razor itself. The second cleaning station stopped cleaning after less than a year. I'm not going to bother trying to replace it again, will just clean in manually.

Answer:	When you clean the razor in the base, some hair goes into the solution cartridge. I found that some collects in the base and needs to be wiped out or rinsed out when you change the cartridge. I have to do all this for my husband!

Answer:	Just rinse it under the sink while it’s turned on. You can also add a drop or two of hand soap before rinsing it under the sink. If you do pre-rinse the cutting head make sure you then use the cleaning station, as rinsing the cutting head in the sink removes all lubricant from the razor. The Braun cleaning solution is just alcohol and lemon oil, the lemon oil acts as a lubricant.

And the sideburn shaver part broke off just this year, but the shaver still lasts for 10+ shaves / 6 weeks for a charge after all this time.

Answer:	With eneloops some 4 hours. Primary Alkalines have an initial voltage around 1.5V, but with use this drops to 1V or less. I understand that electric motors rev faster at higher voltage - more power? So you might have a faster shave initially with a fresh Alki - but a solid 1.25V from robust eneloops might be preferable overall. If co$t is no object one could use long lasting primary 1.8V lithiums - both high power & runtime. I have experimented using a safe rechargeable 3.2V LiFePO4 battery. Lightweight with a Dummy second cell, this offers a solid high voltage for power, but reduced runtime. With no more than 60 minutes expected, I put in a freshly charged LiFe cell weekly.
Question:	This is not doing anything, and I am confused by all the good ratings. It didn't cut any of the hair - am I doing something wrong
Answer:	My husband has very very very thick facial hair, and he says he has to use it every day or the hair gets a bit too long for this shaver to give him a close shave without making multiple passes over the hair (which can cause skin irritation I believe). He uses this as his "I-don't-have-time-to-shave-before-I-run-out-the-door-for-work" back-up shaver, and uses it in his car in the parking lot (or in his office) before he starts the workday. He has also said that the foil on this razor isn't on par with Braun's standard foils, and that may be part of the issue with it not working as well. However, for the price, and not needing a charger, he continually states it serves its purpose. His regular routine involves using the clippers (that he uses for haircuts) to get his beard down very short, then using a safety razor (rather than regular disposable) to smooth it all out. Like I said, thick hair, hard to take care of. I have seen him though, on occasion, just use the clippers, then clean it all up with the Mobile Shaver. Hope this helps...

Answer:	This is mainly for newbies reading this question....I use it every other day/whole face and it lasts a month. Thinking of going back to a corded beard trimmer. NOT cordless. Two blades for this thing are $24. The trimmer itself is $29. My last corded beard trimmer lasted two years and the only reason I stopped using it was because I got this. Unfortunately I tossed it thinking this would last longer than one month. Don’t get me wrong it will and does work after a month it’s just not as comfortable and takes more going over the same area. Answer:	The link you provided didn't work, but looking at some of the Shark Blades of that same description; Yes, they will work just fine. Any double edge (DE) blade will work - you will just have to fold and 'pop' them in half. The single blade (pre-cut DE blades) are what to use for ease of installation. This shavette does come with a 100 pack of Derby blades which are great for use in a shavette as they are inexpensive and give a good shave. I personally prefer Derby of Shark but you may be the other way - try a sampler pack and see what you like best!

Answer:	The light stays ON all the time. It is ON to indicate that the shaver is positioned correctly in the cradle and is charging, and that the contacts have not gotten "dirty". The electronics in the charger/shaver prevent over charging.

Answer:	It didn't make his face worst just didn't help the shave to be better. He didn't complain of further irritation. Hope this helps a bit.

Answer:	I have not used my razor in the shower, but I can tell you that of all the electric razors I have used in the past this razor is virtually irritation free, and I am picky about that. Beyond that, it is the nearest thing to a blade razor shave that I have ever experienced. For the money, I don't think it can be beat.
Question:	the cutting foil may pick up facial oils during the summer days. how to clean them
Answer:	This is not a problem that I have experienced and I have very oily skin. I use shaving cream each time I shave since it gives a closer shave and feels better than shaving dry. I clean the shaver under the hot water faucet after each shave. The foil and blades are still like new with no residue or other sign of any kind of buildup.
