Answer:	When you clean the razor in the base, some hair goes into the solution cartridge. I found that some collects in the base and needs to be wiped out or rinsed out when you change the cartridge. I have to do all this for my husband!

Answer:	Just rinse it under the sink while it’s turned on. You can also add a drop or two of hand soap before rinsing it under the sink. If you do pre-rinse the cutting head make sure you then use the cleaning station, as rinsing the cutting head in the sink removes all lubricant from the razor. The Braun cleaning solution is just alcohol and lemon oil, the lemon oil acts as a lubricant.

Answer:	Black man here. I've had one of these for 5 years and can add my voice to the mix: only minor skin irritations, but I don't use aftershave at all, just some lotion. My only extra advice is that the automatic cleaner base broke after 2 years, but the plug goes directly into the shaver, which I now buzz into a glass of soap. And the sideburn shaver part broke off just this year, but the shaver still lasts for 10+ shaves / 6 weeks for a charge after all this time.

Answer:	Yes, if your military keep on in your locker or glove compartment. Just don't press hard because you'll cut yourself or break the razor. This has saved my ass many times when burning the midnight oil and didn't buy new blades for my razor and wanted to avoid getting rash, razor burn and ingrown hair because of a old blade. I have sensitive skin and shaving wet with this blade cuts close with little bit pressure but I develop a rash. So I dry shave after pt just incase they do a inspection. This saved me many times and only once I got a comment to replace the blade on my razor, lol.

Answer:	I concur with a lot of the other answers in that it is the best razor clipper whatever that I have ever used downstairs. You DO have to pull your skin taut at certain places or you will nick yourself. I've only just now done this experiment, so I don't know about irritation level when it starts to grow back, which has been the biggest deterrent to doing this in the past. If anyone has some feedback on how the growing back process is in terms of irritation and itching, etc, please reply!

Answer:	The BEST head shaving stuff I've ever seen is http://www.headblade.com/product/150000.html. I use their HeadSlickshaving cream for regular face shaving. So smooth. I do have this inexpensive electric shaver. It does shave very well. I've used it as the odd day shaver and travel shaver. As a wet shaver I never use foam Its either Cremo shave cream or HeadSlick. Wet face, rub in Cremo or HeadSlick, shave with the 5800.
Question:	Can blades be replaced
Answer:	OK.. Are you ready?? I have found as well as others. If you apply regular white toothpaste to the blades and the screen when they are dry and run the razor for around 20 seconds. And then rinse with soap and water your blades should be like new for a long long time.
Question:	Are replacement cutter heads available for this razor
Answer:	In case anyone is still interested in this product, it uses a NiMh battery, not a Lithium. I purchased my F4800 in 2017, and the battery died in March 2020. This is normal lifespan for a NiMh (and some Lithium) battery. I might have considered replacing the battery myself, but it did not look easy to disassemble. Besides that, the screen had worn out for the 2nd time, so I decided instead to purchase a new razor (not the same model). Being the conscientious guy that I am, I didn't want to discard the product with the battery, as it can cause a hazard in the landfill. So I went about taking the razor apart - one piece at a time until I found the batteries. This is when I discovered that the battery is NiMh. It is two 1.2V cells in series. And if anyone is thinking about replacing the battery, forget it. The razor is very difficult to disassemble. I got it apart by destroying it (since I was tossing it anyway). Hope this answers the NiMh vs Lithium for this product once and for all. And I hope that newer models (perhaps not this one) will have Lithium batteries.

Answer:	Another lady asked a similar question. I will relate the same advise I shared with her...I am not sure how this electric would work for a woman. I am guessing not very well. But I am a guy, so I am just guessing. However, my wife uses the "Panasonic ES2207P Ladies 3-Blade 'Close Curves' Wet/Dry Shaver". It is not very expensive, it is sold here on Amazon. She says it is a pretty good little shaver for times when she is in a hurry. Of course a razor with hot lather is better, but if you are short on time and want to be presentable it is great. That is mostly why I have the Remington F5-5800A. It does not give a close shave. And my skin is sensitive to many electric shavers which do shave close. Answer:	All the answers from Feb 2020 are now out of date. As of 8/23/2020, just search anywhere for "Braun 35B" and it will come up. Of course a company like Braun would never put out an orphaned product. I'm guessing there was a short-term supply problem back then? Watch out when shopping... there is more than one style cutter head for the series 5 Shavers. You need the type number which is only number that is unique to your shaver. I finally found it on my shaver under the cutter head. The front page of the manual shows Model 5762 for the one I got. Then manual also lists the 53B cutter head assembly. So keep your manual! You will also need it to reset the cutter replacement indicator. Amazon is only showing one. It is $31.72 but there is $11.26 shipping from the UK. Walmart has it on their website for $29.90 with free shipping.

Answer:	Hello I never really timed it or anything. But this morning I plug it in to charge. It still had about 1 light left on the charge. I walk backed about 30-45 mins later and it was fully charged. Another thing I like about it is it’s seems to hold the charge for about a good two weeks. I use it every morning too so it holds the charge pretty good

Question:	I just got this shaver (without a cleaning base) and in Manual I don't see any mention of putting oil on the blades. Does it need to be oiled
Answer:	I have been using foil shavers for about 60 years, I am now 76, and never used oil. When the blades cut whiskers they also stuff off some skin cells. I don't think it is healthy for the skin to put machine oil on it. You don't see this in the manual because it's not a good idea in my opinion.
Question:	Is this a super close shave? Because I do not like shavers that are not super close shaves
Answer:	Definitely super close shave. A great deal depends on the perfection of your technique: Use a small amount of moisture of any kind during the final minute or two so that the skin will bunch up/roll as the shaver head is pressed over it. This exposes the very roots of the whiskers to the cutters. The result is an ultra smooth shave easily the equivalent of the Gillette razor.
Question:	I always end up having problems with the cleaning station. Anyone have any issues with this model
Answer:	I've had two cleaning stations break on me, both times the pump stopped working. First lasted just ever a year. Panasonic wouldn't sell me a replacement, so the first time I had to send the razor+cleaning station back and they sent me a brand new razor+cleaning station as a warranty replacement. Such a waste, since there was nothing wrong with the razor itself. The second cleaning station stopped cleaning after less than a year. I'm not going to bother trying to replace it again, will just clean in manually.
