The contact screw should touch the top of the front spring, and the armature bar and the coil can not be too close, at least 2.5 millimeters of the gap. The tattoo machine is good if you hear a clear sound when you press the foot pedal. 2. Make sure the rubber bands are not holding the needle down too much cause that will prevent it from moving as well. 3. Please check the power supply. The indicator light will turn red and the lcd screen will show the voltage when you turn on the power box. 4. Adjust Voltage to 3V when you start, and 5.5v-8v is the best. Don't exceed 11V when you are tattooing, higher voltage may occurs tattoo supplies issues

Answer:	Don't wast your money. Go to ( a pound of flesh) APOFTATTOOING.com get a 11x 18 flat skin for $40. Worth the cost. You wont learn on thus stuff. If that's to expecive get Styrofoam sheets from the craft section the ink will wipe off. Good for line practice and cheep. I bought a lot of these from different companies. More of a headache than its worth.
