Question: | Is there such a thing as bad ink that could ruin your writing instrument? I am wondering why some are spending so much on this instead of cheap $7 ink |
Answer: | Yes. The shavings can be emptied. (I'll admit I didn't know that pencil sharpeners could be emptied. I threw away 4 of them before I saw my wife "break" one -- which I freaked out about, by the way -- cooly empty it as I was losing my mind, and then put it back together. My mouth dropped and wow! Did I feel dumb.) |
Question: | This may be a silly question.... but how do I refill my pen with this ink bottle |
Answer: | This model is only good for 120V 60HZ 2.0A. However, you could by a converter. see this address. http://www.220converters.com/step-down-converters.htm Good Luck, Patrick |

- Japanese Tattoo Ink - In wash paintings, as in calligraphy, artists usually grind their own ink stick (Japanese: sumi) over an ink stone to obtain ink, but prepared inks are also available.
- Most ink sticks are made of either pine soot or oil soot combined with animal glue (Japanese: nikawa).
- An artist puts a few drops of water on an ink stone and grinds the ink stick in a circular motion until a smooth, grey ink of the desired concentration is made.
- Prepared inks are usually of much lower quality.

Question: | Is this mz001 hmayart black sumi liquid ink thick enough to use for thin calligraphy paper, please |
Answer: | Hi. I just tested one in a 1.75 bottle with handle of Myers rum. It fit perfectly. So I assume it will fit other bottles that size also. |
Question: | Can this be used in a fountain pen? Thanks |
Answer: | It fits in the neck of a wine or liquor bottle, so it would depend on the size of the jug's neck. If the neck is basically a milk jug type size, probably not. I would defer to someone who actually has one for their opinion. |
Question: | My item came with an addition of a tiny jar of gooey black ink looking something. What is it |
Answer: | The very top ring (goes on the outside of the bottle) is 1 1/4". The top ring that stays in the bottle is just short of an inch. The interior rings are flexible. This fits the average liquor bottle. I hope this helps! |
