Answer:	I've had my Brother MFC-9440cn for many years and I've needed to replace parts over time (including the belt). If you like the printer then I'd replace the belt. After the belt replacement the only other component I've had to replace is the waste toner box at a cost of approximately $40.

That said, I'll echo what one of the other reviewers said...You're probably better off buying another new all-in-one machine because the belt unit may not be the only thing that goes wrong. My experience with the brother MFC9840cdw was that it was a great printer/scanner/copier until it wasn't...then no matter what I replaced/cleaned/adjusted it was glitchy until it stopped printing completely (still scans, though).

Answer:	I wish I could be more helpful. My printer, in essence, said it was time to replace the belt unit. I checked my manual and online. I would say that if they show a picture like this one (belt and box) its probably part of the unit. Otherwise, your printer should tell you.I checked for the ADF Paper Pick-up Roller Assembly and Separation pad Assembly, and did see they are available separately. It might be better to call Brother and ask, if you aren't sure. My guess is they are part of the belt unit.
