Answer:	I haven’t tried it in a hot tub but I use pretty warm water in the tub with it and bath salts plus the soaps, shampoo and conditioner. It comes with a bag for laundering it and they recommend weekly washing. I think it would be fine.

Answer:	This sticks to the inside of the tub. I happen to have a soaker tub so the sides are tall and it works great for sinking down in. It cushions your neck and feels great on your back. I don't see why it wouldn't work just as well on a standard tub.
