Sample Recipe: Sheet Pan Lemon Chicken with Potatoes and Carrots

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 425˚F. Coat a sheet pan with cooking spray.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, rosemary, garlic, salt, and pepper.

3. Add the chicken, potatoes, carrots, and parsnips to the dressing and toss to coat.

4. Gently pour the vegetables and chicken onto the prepared baking sheet, making sure they are in a single layer. Top with the lemon slices. Place in the oven and roast for 40 to 45 minutes until the chicken reaches a minimum internal cooking temperature of 165˚F.

5. Into each of 4 containers, scoop 2 cups of chicken and vegetables.

Storage:

Place airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. To freeze, place freezer-safe containers in the freezer for up to 2 months. To defrost, refrigerate overnight. To reheat individual portions, microwave uncovered on high for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes.

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, add cauliflower and microwave on high 4–5 minutes until tender. Let cool and place on a clean kitchen towel. Wrap up cauliflower and squeeze out any excess water.
3. Return to bowl and add Parmesan, DLK House Ranch Dressing Mix, salt, and pepper. Mix until a moist dough is formed.

Answer:	it would depend on the screen size of the surface pro that you have. the smaller one would fit, but probably not the larger size one... i have a macbook air that does fit (even inside a neoprene case), but if the backpack is then *stuffed* full, the magnetic closure doesn't want to remain fastened. used this for traveling to asia and the flap was 'flapping up' half the time because i had it filled too full and the magnetic closure just wasn't cutting it.

Answer:	it depends on the laptop's dimensions. the bag technically "fits" my 13" macbook pro (inside a neoprene case) and will close just fine, but if you plan on loading up the bag, it will make it difficult to fasten the bag. also, the bag fastens with a drawstring closure and then a small magnetized spot, so if the bag is over-loaded, the little magnetic portion tends to pop open.

Grilled Coconut-Curry Chicken from The Whole30

Don’t pour all the curry sauce over the chicken; once the mixture has come into contact with the raw meat, you have to throw it out. Instead, place your chicken in a shallow bowl, and pour a little of the sauce over the chicken. Brush or rub it evenly over the meat, then flip and repeat on the other side. Save the extra sauce to drizzle over the top of this dish before serving, or use it to top tomorrow night’s chicken, shrimp, or vegetables.

To make the curry sauce, melt the cooking fat in a saucepan over medium heat and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan. When the fat is hot, add the onion and cook, stirring, until translucent, 2 to 3 minutes. Add the garlic and stir until it becomes aromatic, about 30 seconds. Add the curry powder and stir for 15 to 20 seconds, taking care that the garlic and curry powder don’t burn. Add the tomatoes and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes. Transfer the contents of the pan to a food processor or blender and puree until smooth. Pour into a mixing bowl and let cool. Mix in the coconut cream, salt, and pepper.

Place the chicken in a shallow bowl. Pour some of the sauce over the chicken and brush it on each side.

Preheat a grill to high heat (500°F).

Remove the chicken from the curry sauce and discard the extra sauce. Add the chicken, breast-side down, to the grill and sear until golden brown, about 2 minutes. (When the meat is properly seared it will pull off the grates very easily, so don’t rush this step.) Turn the chicken over so the bone side is down and place over indirect heat. Cover with the grill lid and continue to cook until the internal temperature of the chicken is 160°F, or the breast meat springs back when pressed with a finger. This will take 10 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness.

Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Serve with a squeeze of lime juice and the reserved curry sauce.

Note: Coconut Cream: To make coconut cream, take a can of full-fat coconut milk and put it in the refrigerator for an hour or two—although we recommend leaving at least one can in the fridge at all times for emergency coconut cream situations. (That is something that can actually happen on the Whole30.)

When you open the can, the cream will have risen to the top and become solid, while the coconut water remains at the bottom of the can. Just scoop out the thick stuff at the top and use it in recipes that call for coconut cream. You can also find prepared coconut cream or “culinary coconut milk” at some health food stores, but why would you pay extra when the only thing required to make your own is opening your refrigerator?

Note: If you don’t have a grill, you can bake the chicken in the oven. Turn the oven to Broil (or 500°F), and place the raw chicken in a baking dish. Sear the chicken in the oven for 5 minutes. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F. Brush the chicken with the curry sauce and finish cooking in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes (depending on thickness), until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.

Question:	How loud is the WP-660? I own the WP-65W and it sounds like something you might hear at a construction site
Answer:	WP-100 is the one with a very strong motor, will last for years, unless you forget and leave it running on an empty tank as i did. So what if it is noisy; it works and will last. By the way, using it at more than 2-3 may cause damage to your gum line. Leaky tank valve, even the new WP-100s have a defective tank valve (it doesn't fall down when the tank is removed, therefore the tank dribbles when removed for refill. This problem remains even with new valve inserts (which i obtained from Waterpik's wonderful service). The fix, although slightly annoying, is to take the handle of your toothbrush and gently press down on the valve during the lift off process. You can then discontinue the toothbrush, and refill and reseat the tank, without dribbles occuring. Just grin and bear it. Also, you will need to purchase replacement angled wands because the tip will become junky and can't be cleaned.

Answer:	Really well. I’ve used ‘large floss’ after using the irrigator and it’s clear the irrigator has done the job. This may vary depending on your type of implant and I know some people continue to use various types of floss and other mechanical methods once a week, but use the irrigator the rest of the time.
Question:	I have some bridges and sensitive teeth. Will this work well for me
Answer:	My upper teeth are those “teeth in a day” (that actually took 13 months) and it works fine. If your teeth are sensitive, I’d use lukewarm water.

Answer:	I have used a generic mint mouth rinse a couple of times, not Listerine brand. It works just fine. I dilute it in water so I don't fill the entire reservoir with mouth rinse solution.

Answer:	Yes, you can dilute some mouthwash in water.

Answer:	There is a rubber plug that covers where the USB charging cord goes. I suppose you could use in the shower if the cover was secure in place. Personally, I wouldn't as I try to conserve water and it is really not very forceful, but it would drip a lot, so use in the shower could be less messy. Maybe if you put a mouthwash or medical rinse in it, that could work for a good rinse, but not so much a "flosser", IMO.

Answer:	I don't know. We've only used water in it. There is nothing in the ‘’ use“ material that indicates you shouldn't use mouthwash in it. I would be a little concerned that mouthwash might/could clog the unit...but maybe if you rinse it well after using the mouthwash, it would be ok- my opinion only.
